Matthew Chuck – President / CEO
With over 25 years of experience in the non-profit field, Mr. Chuck brings a vast knowledge base to his role as President of the Board and CEO of Gold Youth Arts Organization. Starting in 1995 with Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, Mr. Chuck is currently the Executive Director for Alcoholics Anonymous in Ventura County. Prior to his current position Mr. Chuck was the Managing Director for The Discovery Center for Science and Technology.
In 2018, when his son joined Gold, Matthew volunteered for the food team during the final week of the tour – he has been the chef on tour ever since. Joining the Board of the Directors, as a Member at Large in 2020, he has continued with Gold even after his son has moved on.
As President/CEO of GYAO, Matthew is responsible for board governance, strategic planning, policy development and implementation, fiscal management, and overall oversight of the organization.
Mr. Chuck has a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and currently resides in Thousand Oaks, CA.
