How much time will I have to commit to Gold?
- Auditions: December & January
Two weekend rehearsal camps with open auditions for all sections. There is typically one camp in December and one camp in January. - Brass Rehearsals (ongoing auditions): February-April
Weekend brass rehearsals occur periodically through February, March and early April. Brass auditions continue as long as spots are still available. Color guard and percussion do not attend. These sections may be asked to complete and submit video assignments to monitor ongoing progress. - Full Corps Camps: Last weekend of April through Memorial Day
Beginning the last weekend of April, Gold holds full corps camps every weekend. All sections attend. Memorial Day camp is typically a 3-day move-in camp. - All Days: First weekend of June through late June
Beginning with the first weekend in June – every day is a drum corps day. There are occasional days off for rest, recovery and laundry. - Nor-Cal Tour: First week of July
During this week, Gold moves north to McFarland, CA for several days of rehearsal, leading into our Northern California tour for shows in Sacramento and Stanford. - SoCal Shows through National Tour: Second week of July through second week of August
After returning from Northern CA, there is a series of local So Cal shows combined with several days of rehearsal. After that, the drum corps departs for the National Tour which moves through several states and covers several thousand miles. Tour concludes witht he DCI World Championship in Indianapolis on the second weekend in August. Members travel home from Indianapolis on Sunday morning.

Conflicts for school and performance events are excused through the second week of June. After that it is imperative that all members attend all Gold Events. Exceptions may be made by clearing them with the Corps Director.
Where are rehearsals?
Our primary rehearsal site during the spring is Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, CA. Other rehearsal locations may vary, as determined by the facility access we are provided. Our calendar will list locations as they are finalized.
