What is drum corps?
Drum corps is a competitive musical marching activity that takes place during the summer season. Similar to marching band, it is composed of brass instruments, percussion and colorguard. While no woodwind instruments are used, woodwind players are encouraged to join and learn a new instrument.

Registration
Audition Fee
The audition fee for 2025 is $125 and covers the entire audition process, music packet, video auditions (for out of town participants), attendance at all events (including experience camps) and an audition t-shirt.
What to Bring to Auditions
- Your audition fee, if not pre-registered
- Your own equipment, if possible (horn/mouthpiece, drum, sticks/mallets, flag/rifle)
- Brass and Percussion equipment will be provided, although we often have more participants auditioning than we have available instruments
- Pencil and 3-ring binder with inserts to hold music (for brass and percussion)
- Your printed audition packet (provided by email as part of the registration process)
- Athletic/workout clothing (no jeans) and running shoes (dance shoes for guard)
- Plan to dress in layers. If the weather is good we will be outside.
- Water jug (minimum ½ gallon)
- Sunscreen
- A baseball cap or hat
- Black towel (Brass only, to put horn on)
Video Auditions
We take video auditions for Brass and Color Guard at our Southern California Audition weekends.
