About Gold Drum & Bugle Corps
Gold Drum & Bugle Corps is a program of Gold Youth Arts Organization, Inc, a non-profit 501(c)3 educational corporation, which seeks to improve the public’s understanding of and appreciation for music and marching band performance in accordance with the mission and objectives of Drum Corps International. Gold’s primary purpose is to enrich the educational, social, ethical and performing arts lives of young adults through the art of marching music instruction and performance.
As a member of Drum Corps International, Gold provides progressive and highly developed instruction and mentoring from passionate, experienced, and professional instructors. We promote teamwork and a commitment to youth development and performance excellence. The students we teach often experience positive life-changing moments and receive skills invaluable in the real world. Our goal is to empower our members and instill confidence, character, passion and drive in them while providing enjoyment to our local community and audiences nationwide.

Mission
As as member of Drum Corps International, Gold seeks to improve the public’s understanding of and appreciation for music and marching band performance in accordance with DCI’s mission and objectives. Gold’s primary purpose is to enrich the educational, social, ethical and performing arts lives of young adults through the art of marching music instruction and performance.
Corps History
Gold Drum and Bugle Corps was founded in Hawthorne, CA in 2005. The group was formed to expose local students and young adults to a positive youth activity. The corps relocated to Oceanside, CA in 2010 in order to expand its service to the entire Southern California region. Since then Gold has grown rapidly, appearing every year at the Drum Corps International World Championships, and has become a fan favorite in the drum & bugle corps activity.
Gold has performed at numerous cities and venues across North America, including the Rose Bowl Stadium, Stanford Stadium, Marshall University in West Virginia, Center Parc Credit Union Stadium, in Atlanta, GA. and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, The corps has also performed at countless venues throughout Southern California including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios.
