Openings
- We have openings for all positions.
Registration
Audition Fee
The audition fee for 2027 is $125 and covers the entire audition process, music packet, video auditions (for out of town participants), and attendance at all events (including experience camps). Lunch is included at experience camps.
What to Bring to Auditions
- Your audition fee, if not pre-registered
- A friend! Do you have a friend that might want to try drum corps? Bring them along to sign up at the event.
- Your own equipment, if possible (horn/mouthpiece, drum, sticks/mallets, flag/rifle)
- Brass and Percussion equipment will be provided, although we often have more participants auditioning than we have available instruments
- Pencil and 3-ring binder with inserts to hold music (for brass and percussion)
- Your printed audition packet (provided by email as part of the registration process)
- Athletic/workout clothing (no jeans) and running shoes (dance shoes for guard)
- Plan to dress in layers. If the weather is good we will be outside.
- Water jug (minimum ½ gallon)
- Sunscreen
- A baseball cap or hat
- Black towel (Brass only, to put horn on)
Video Auditions
We will accept video auditions from candidates who live outside of the state of California. For potential members in California with special circumstances requiring a video audition, please contact our Corps Director by email at Joe.Paul@GoldYouthArts.org.
